East And West;A Better Future Ahead

This time around,I would like to blog regarding something new and fresh.Something that describes about the insimilarity between two different regions.Something about the capability of these two power.Yes,this article would touch in detail about the Eastern and Western region of this fragile Earth. For many centuries up to this very moment, the Easterners have always looked up to the Westerners for their  “versatility, developments and lavish lifestyle”.Many people from the East would even do anything to be living like those Westerners.Inevitably, this has sparked a sense of inferiority towards the Westerners, which prolonged  perpetually through generations among Easterners.
Britain, shone in glamorous limelight due to its great Industrial Revolution. That was the headstart for the Westerners to take big leaps towards unlimited achievements.Although they managed to attain myriad achievements prior to that, the Industrial Revolution proved to be vital for them to go global in bigger scope. And then, everything started. The Western forces most notably,Britain,America and France came to the East with their well-equipped military troops and conquered the Eastern soil.Their power is apparently too big and ultimate for these Eastern forces to go against. As written in mankind’s bygone history,in South East Asia, all countries were ‘successfully’ conquered with the exception to Thailand.
And due to the West's efforts,in the end,it emerged as a heroic icon globally. But,ironically, some of the used to be miniscule forces in the East starts to embark on a never ending journey to become the leading protagonist economically worldwide. To name a few,China,Japan,Singapore,Dubai and South Korea, are the new heroes. These nations proved to the world that the weakest would not remain such till the end. There's always a new beginning for everything.

And that is the main idea.To become competitive in the global arena, diligence and paramount efforts matter most. There are still many nations in the East that need to find for the best formula for the sake of its developments. In this modern era,the advent of technological advancements, nations in the East should work together with the West to produce more tangible achievements. For the Eastern nations, the West should not be seen as rivals, but as friends that can help each other.Hopefully,in future, more trade relationship and diplomatic rapport can be established among these nations in spite of their differences.

"SOMALIA;THE UNCERTAIN FUTURE"

Last Saturday, one of my best buddies invited our whole "gang" to sleep over his house since his parents are outstation for two days.At that moment, our eyes were "gleaming" with excitement, thinking about the fun that we are going to indulge in(need I remind you that we are still bachelors). But,that Saturday night turned out to be a meaningful moment for me.After watching the latest movie in town,Captain America (man,Chris Evans have a nice body there),my pal,Mark showed us a video clip shot by  his uncle during a voluntarian mission to Somalia.

The only thing I knew was,no one uttered a single word while watching the video.Somalia,a "popular" nation thanks to the endless war and the atrocious violence perpetrated by some culprits. The scenario is still evident now in Somalia. If anyone would ask me to describe about this poor country,I could only say that"it is a nation plunged into devastating destitution".Although paramount efforts were taken previously by many concerned parties, especially the mass media,by revealling the status quo there to the global community, ironically all those efforts proved to be futile.Recently,United Nations brought up the the issue of famine in Somalia.Famine is rife there, and consequently killing many mere human beings, most notably, children who suffer from starvation. In this Ramadan month, where the Muslims call it a "fasting month",ordinary people are devastated there in Somalia due to the lack of hygiene, safety and food.

But,the fact is,globally, many are being oblivious and less grateful with their lives.According to a research, tonnes and tonnes of food are being wasted annually by us.If we could channel those food to those in Somalia and also other struggling nations, inevitably we could become the saviour of the lives of many.People, think about it!Even though we are incapable of helping these people,we should somehow think rationally and lets stop immediately from wasting food.If you are able to help these unfortunate people, anywhere, please do your significant part. And the utmost important task lies in the hands of the world's "big shots".United Nations,World Health Organisation,America,Britain and others should fuel in the essential efforts as a counter-attack formula for this problem.Rather than merely wasting cash in useless wars, these reputable parties should lead a crusade against this predicament, not only in Somalia but also in other nations.

THE DNA OF MEDIA;RUPERT MURDOCH.

Who doesn't recognises this particular mass media tycoon,Rupert Murdoch? This man controls the media through his ownership in News Corp,an organisation with power over 20th Century Production,The News of The World, the Sun and etc.Lately,Rupert who is well-renowned among the big-shots(including nations' leaders) found himself in the headlines, entangled in a string of controversions. It all initiated when one of his tabloid, the much reputable The News of The World was fired with multitudinous accusations over the phone hacking controversions by its reporters.Even the former Premier of U.K. was not spared and a handful of other civilians' phones were hacked. This is inclusive of a girl who is murdered not long after she was kidnapped.

Long before this,in the bygone years, one of his media arm,The Sun created plenty scandals including making public Lady D's secret conversation which later on,sparked on-going predicaments in her life. This Murdoch issues nowadays have become so ubiquitous, that even the policymakers in British Parliament are talking about him.Mr.Rupert,his pretty(and young)wife Wendy Dang, and his apparent heir,James were under extreme fire due to these controversions. Many in the public have even turned awfully sceptic towards any entities in the global mediasphere.Murdoch has somehow managed to shut our mouths for while,by ending the business of   The News of The World tabloid forever. But,perhaps he has still a long way to go to clear his name in the international arena. One thing for sure, this would be a precious lesson for the global media stakeholders that while delivering the recent news to the community is crucial, everything has its LIMIT!

"AMERICA,OBAMA AND THE ECONOMIC ARMAGEDDON"

Seeing the name of the superpower economy in headlines, apparently is not awkward for many.Since the late 2008 subprime mortgage crisis in U.S.A,however,everything seem to be so common. It woudn't sound wrong if anyone says that now America is trying to heal itself from a big financial predicament as the ubiquity of "Uncle Sam's" financial problem is much evident. And most recently,America found itself in the headlines of mass media globally, for the incapability of its' policymakers to find a way to raise the debt limit.

Obviously,America is not left with  Hobson's choice. The solutions are there, served nicely on the table for this Congress people to choose from. One,reduce budget deficit by austerity measures or also known as,spending cuts. Two,introduce new taxes for the filthy rich groups and create a hike in the existing taxes. And the biggest problem starts here.Obama's Democratic Party voted for the second while the GOP or the Republicans casted their votes for  the former. Many gruelling and gargantuan efforts were taken by many concerned parties, yet they were futile and meaningful.Although the entire world was sceptic about the situation in America(some even claimed that  U.S could be the next Greece),yet the Obama's administration proved otherwise.Just two days before the D-day or 2nd August, the Congress reached a consensus to increase the debt limit by having more cuts in spending.

Lucky enough, they were!Yet,economists throughout the globe believe that this is not the end of America's debt problem. They still, inevitably need a crusade as a formula of counter-attack the current problem. And many financial analysts as well as these economic pundits say that the present measure chosen by U.S may not be the much anticipated measure. They opine that tax increases could establish bigger and positive implications. However, the time is still ample and America must act wise in future(besides being more prudent) to avoid from plunging into an economic blackhole!
